I grew up in a tiny country where our shampoo bottles aren't even labeled with our own language. Being Portuguese means being adaptable. Knowing how to translate to English and Spanish. It means learning about the world around you and the countries you get your shampoos from!

When I moved to the U.S., I took this adjustability with me. I adapted to the culture of mac and cheese and school shooting drills. I kept a venn diagram in my head of all the things I know and all the things I'm learning. Where they intersect is who I am as an artist.

I'm a mix of my grandma's tela novelas and disney channel. Of National Theatre Bootlegs and live improv shows. Of comedy. Of drama. Of things that remind me of home and things I never knew could exist.
